The Golden Pear

Woke up this morning not feeling my best… not sure if it was the beer or if it’s still residual sickness following me around. At this point it’s hard to remember what healthy feels like!

To start the day off right, we headed to the Golden Pear in town to get some eggs and coffee.

I got free-range, organic scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese on a baguette with a side of fruit and coffee.

After breakfast, I couldn’t resist a detour to Tate’s Bake Shop in downtown Southampton…

The whole bake shop smells so good! I picked out the chocolate croissant (which I gobbled down and didn’t photograph — woops) and the hot chocolate. Both of which were extremely delicious and hit the spot bigtime.

Lunch will definitely have to be something healthier and hopefully will involve some veggies.

“It’s an empowering idea. The entire goliath of the food industry is ultimately driven and determined by the choices we make as the waiter gets impatient for our order or in the practicalities and whimsies of what we load into our shopping carts or farmers’ market bags.” - Jonathan Safran Foer ..............................................................
