Deja Vu

The day after my party proved to be another sunny one. Seemed good enough reason to have another cookout. After all, it is summer.

This time around we opted for more of the delicious veggie skewers, along with my mom’s experiment with wood-chip grilled salmon.

Also on the menu was…

…a caprese salad…

…some watermelon…

…some pasta salad…

…lobster (for everyone else)…

…and some awesome grilled scallops! This is what my plate ended up looking like.

We also mixed up a couple of fruity pitchers of white wine sangria.

“It’s an empowering idea. The entire goliath of the food industry is ultimately driven and determined by the choices we make as the waiter gets impatient for our order or in the practicalities and whimsies of what we load into our shopping carts or farmers’ market bags.” - Jonathan Safran Foer ..............................................................
