Patriotic Eating

This post may be late, but that is certainly not a reflection of a lack of excitement over my wonderful July 4th weekend! As far as I can tell, to have a perfect Fourth of July, you’ll need 3 main ingredients: Sunshine, Fireworks, and Grilling. When you get all three of those things for four days straight? Well, we’ll let the pictures do the talking.

As usual, I constructed my basic veggie kabobs for everyone’s side-dish enjoyment (peppers, onions, and eggplant). I also skewered up a bunch of scallops and grilled them up next to the boy’s Balducci burgers.

This is a sad puppy. The guy’s pretty upset too.

As you can see, the plate of hamburger buns was extremely heavy. That’s why we called in Ryan to lift it for us with his average-sized biceps.

Oh, did I mention that this was only meal 1 of the weekend? Yep. Stay tuned.
