run run run

so i finally did it. signed up for another half marathon after last year’s disappointment when i signed up, was all ready to go,… and then got mono. oops. try to avoid this if you haven’t gotten it already. it sucks.

anyways, this year will be different!!!!!!!…partly because you can’t get mono twice! (hurray!) but also because it’s going to be great and i get to run it with boyfriend and brother and we get to go right by my parent’s house where i can only assume my adoring fans will be waiting for me with signs of encouragement and lots of vitamin water. i know what you’re thinking, oh my god, you’re so lucky you have fans* when you run your first timed 13.1 miles!!!!!!! it’s not really that big of a deal. but yeah. i have a lot of people rooting for me.**

*fans = my mom. maybe my dad. oh, and my dogs.

** = actually just 4. if you count dogs as people. (i do. i also count cats, whales, and stuffed animals as people.)

so today, in honor of my upcoming race, i ran 10 miles and listened to some new jogging downloads. (i’ll save releasing the names of those gems for a later date.)

didn’t time myself. but it felt like forever, so that’s probably not a very good thing.

    i can only hope this is in preparation for the hamptons half 😉 or that you will at least be one of my adoring fans on my first 13.1!

    i am so proud of you for taking this leap, you will rock it, i have no doubt!! wish i could be there to cheer you on!!
